Last weekend, I went to a birthday party for a co-worker. She only started working at the daycare in October(ish), so I haven't known her that long, and I don't feel like I know her super well, but I enjoy being around her and it was fun to go to her party. Friday was her last day at work because she's going away to school (sad face). I was asking her about it at her party and she told me she almost cried telling one of the kindergartners bye. Then I got to thinking about how bad it's going to be when I leave. My kids are in 5th grade. They were first graders when I started working there. I wasn't with their class until the summer after they finished 3rd grade, and then was with them again last summer, and then I'm with them now (obviously). I have become unbelievably attached to them. Some more than others, but I'm attached to them all, and I am dreading leaving in the next four to seven months.
Many times, it seems it's easy to leave. Easier to leave than be left, right?

Great reward, great sacrifice
Clearly I have issues with consistent blogging. I'm okay with that. I have issues with consistent anything, it seems. Consistent dieting (gained 3 lbs over Christmas/New Years, it WILL be gone soon though. I'm back on the bandwagon), consistent exercising, consistent Bible reading. I never really talk about it because it's embarrassing. I've started to realize over the last few days that part of the reason I have issues with consistent Bible reading/praying/etc. is that great commitment to God comes at great sacrifice of myself. That it is going to be painful, and that He might ask me (and by might I mean will) to do things I don't want to do. I'm not really sure if I'm prepared for that, but I guess you never really are. Any great reward comes at a great sacrifice though, right?
